The service was pretty weak. We had a reservation for 20th and the server kept asking me... so would you say 18? Not a good way to start things off. The food is overpriced for what you get. The greek salad's had 1 olive in it. The manager watched us pay our bill which was strange. Overall not great for the price.

Greko's has long been a favourite restaurant of ours. We frequented your establishment often with friends and many times we took visitors there. In the past we have always enjoyed great food and wonderful service.
On July 27th 2007 we made reservations for 6.00 P.M. for ourselves, our son, daughter-in-law and grandson who were visiting from Calgary. We arrived at 5.55 p.m., anticipating our usual lovely meal. We were seated and placed our drink orders which were promptly served. We then placed our appetizer and dinner orders. At this time the restaurant was not busy but people were beginning to come in. Our appetizers were longer coming than usual, and our waitress apologized saying the appetizer orders were a bit backed up. We eventually received our appetizers and our salads.

When we had been seated for 1 hour and had not yet received our meals we questioned our waitress about the delay. She explained other orders had been put through ahead of ours, but she was trying to get ours done next.
Another 30 minutes passed with no sign of our meals. People who had come in after us had been served and were leaving.
At this point, we went to the front and explained to the young lady at the counter that we had been waiting one and one half hours which we found to be unacceptable and we were going to leave, and we would like to pay for our drinks, appetizers and salads. She apologized for the wait and was ringing through our bill when we were approached by a different waitress saying we should return to our table, our dinner was ready. We politely declined saying we had been waiting an unacceptable length of time and we wished to leave.
At this point, a short, stocky man in a rather dirty white shirt and pants came roaring up demanding that we return to our table and eat. We again declined stating that we had already waited one and a half hours to be served His response was So???
We explained AGAIN, that we were paying for our drinks, salads and appetizers and we were leaving. We had now been at the restaurant going on two hours and we had to leave. He demanded that we pay for our entrees and we told him we weren't going to do that because the service had been unacceptable. He threatened to call the police and we said, Please do that. We will be happy to explain the circumstances to them. At this point he was yelling and swearing at us and creating an awful scene. I asked who is that man and was told he was the owner. When I said, That's not George, we were told that George was in Greece.
This man followed my husband son and grandson outside ranting and raving like a lunatic. He was then joined by a young man who had a ring piercing in his lower lip and a rather limited vocabulary consisting of F---er and MOTHER F---er. When they saw the Alberta plates on my son's car they went into another abusive tirade and the younger man actually spat on our vehicle.
I am 76 years old and in our travels across Canada, Europe and Mexico have never in my lifetime encountered anything remotely resembling this behaviour in any dining establishment. It was extremely upsetting and humiliating

We have been going to Greko's for at least 20 years and have always had an excellent experience. The food is always consistent and the service is impeccable. We are always treated very well. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would also recommend reservations!

It's is a nice atmosphere, but as in msot restaurants, they are a like cheapskates. Compare the amounts of vegetables, you'll see they get smaller every time you go there.
I would also claim that the dishes aren't done very well, and are sloppy. The waiters and waitresses are very nice and do their job effeciently.

Parking is a nightmare.Staff are attentive and nice.T-bone steak was good,in taste,BUT smallish (thin). DO NOT GO IF THE GROUP ROOMS ARE FULL!My steak was served to someone in the groups, so had to wait for another while my wifes shrimp sat.The wait was very long even before they had to cook another steak.
We eat out alot!Differant countries and cities.Greckos is lacking.I would not recommend it.Try the next restaurant directly to the south or across Albert St. to the east.

THE FOOD AND RECEPTION WAS EXCELENT, THE ONLY COMPLAINT WAS THE AMOUNT OF GREEKS IN THE RESTAURANT...SOOO HAIRY.
