Me and my family (there was 6 of us) decided to go there for supper last week, and most of us haven't been there before.

Let me just start with our waitress. She rarely asked us how we were doing, took about 15 minutes just to get our drinks, and didn't seem very knowledgeable about the menu. Everyone, but my mother-in-law, got their food, and when her sandwich finally came to the table (after the fact everyone else was done eating [about 1/2 hour]), it was hard as rock and ice-cold. When the waitress finally came over to the table to check up on us, she took the plate to send it back to the kitchen. About two minutes later we heard the cook swearing and shouting, and that there was no way the sandwich would have been cold, and that it burnt his hand as he was cutting it (I'm thinking, doesn't he wear gloves or something?), and yelled at the waitress to take it off the bill and to tell us never to come back again! The waitress, nor he, apologized for this, nor did my mother-in-law get anything to eat.

Well, we won't be going back there again.

We had been to Izzy's a couple of times before, and it was good. Tonight, however, we waited about 45 minutes for our food. When it finally arrived it was cool, not just less than warm, which made our burgers dry and the fries limp and tasteless. My burger was supposed to be mushroom, bacon and cheese, with lettuce and fried onions. It had no lettuce or onion, and no sign of bacon.
The waitresses suggested that being short staffed was the problem, which could account for the wait time, but not really for the temperature or the missing condiments.
When we mentioned how cold things were, there was no apology, but an offer to take it back to the kitchen. I couldn't really see how that would help. Microwaved burgers and fries don't appeal to me, and we weren't prepared to wait while they made a new meal.
