Stans DIner changed ownership in January 2009.
The new owner does not smoke or drink, and there is absolutley no smoking on the premises, as mentioned in a previous post.
I thin the new owner, Andie, has done a great job, and has improved the quality of food a lot. The homemade fries and panfries are cut fresh in the morning, and the thick bacon comes from Butcher Boy meats.
I tried the burgers ... they start out as 5 oz, 7oz or the huge double burger ... combine any one of them with a generous helping of homemade fries, and you've got a great meal at a great price..... very filling.
Refills on pop and coffee, with a Seniors and kids menu as well.
They have 5 choices of bread for toast ... white(texas), w.wheat (texas), rye, flax, raisin .... which is more than many other places.
I'd say if you haven't tried Angie's at 2403 Park Street, you should drop by .... See the difference in food and price.

Now on Mondays she makes a huge chinese dinner special with fresh wonton soup which she offers too cheap for the portion, cabbage rolls, perrogies, real borscht ans sausage on Tuesdays, and on Friday you can get 3 huge pieces of lightly battered fish and fries.
Once again, great food and great value ..... and she will always try and have a conversation if she's away from the kitchen.

Excellent breakfast menu. Pan fries are amazing and everything is cheap. Eating there again on thursday =D

Okay, seriously. This place is a definite diamond in the rough. We drove past it many times, but only ventured into it on one occasion. We left within minutes because of the strong smoke smell. So, when the no smoking in public places law went into effect last year in Regina, we tried it again. Are we ever pleased that we did. It is now our new favourite spot. Everything is homemade, including the french fries and onion rings that are piled high on your plate. The butter tarts are unbelievable, the size of a small pie. I could go on and on and on, but instead I'll sign off and go there for Sunday brunch. Yummmmmm
